Computers & Technology
Lack of space and limited electrical capacity currently restrict the number of public computer stations. Requests for computer use far exceeds availability – so much so that time limits must be imposed and a waiting list is often necessary. With more room and updated electrical infrastructure to support information technologies, more computer work stations can be offered. The few stations now available are actively utilized by adults who otherwise lack Internet access – for job searches, communications with far-off loved ones, and more. Students rely on after school computer access to do specialized research and supplement classroom projects. This is one of our library’s most urgent needs in the modern Technology Age.
